Cavaliers sign Javonte Green

(CLEVELAND, OH) - In one of the worst kept secrets in recent Cleveland sports history the Cavaliers announced this morning that swingman Javonte Green has been signed to a contract.
Green is in his sixth season in the NBA and was most recently with the New Orleans Pelicans who bought out his contract on February 20th. The 6’4 Radford University grad in 50 games with the Pelicans, 18 starts was averaging 5.8 points per game, 3.5 rebounds, 1.10 steals and .60 steals per game.
He had previously played for Boston and Chicago and has appeared in 245 games in his NBA career starting 73 games. Green will be wearing number 8 with the Cavs..
