Big 4th innings leads Indians past Tigers 10-5

The Cleveland Indians defeated the Detroit Tigers Friday night by a final score of 10-5 from Comerica park in Detroit, Michigan. 

Carlos Santana got the Indians their first base runner of the day to lead off the second; Santana walked, and Franmil Reyes followed with a two-run home run to give the Tribe a 2-0 lead. The Tigers were able to answer right back, getting their lead off batter Jeimer Candelario on base; he tripled off the wall in center field. That was followed up by a sac fly from Willi Castro that scored Candelario, which made it 2-1. In the bottom of the third, Jacoby Jones doubled to lead off the inning and it was followed by a two-run home run from Niko Goodrum to put Detroit up 3-2.

In the fourth inning, the Indians' offense exploded. Francisco Lindor walked to lead off the inning, followed by another walk by Carlos Santana. After that, Franmil Reyes singled to center, allowing Lindor to score, which tied the game up at 3 apiece. Tyler Naquin drove in an RBI to put the Indians back up 4-3. Domingo Santana followed with a three-run home run to left field to give the Tribe a 7-3 lead. Later in the inning, Jose Ramirez had an RBI ground out to score Delino DeShields. 

Detroit, got one back in the sixth- an Austin Romine single scored Jeimer Candelario. The Indians got that run right back in the seventh as Tyler Naquin tripled to center to score 

Franmil Reyes to make it 10-4.

In the ninth the Tigers Cameron Maybin hit a solor home run to make it 10-5, but there was as close as the Tigers would get 

It was a rough night for the starting pitchers. Aaron Civale went six innings, giving up four runs on eight hits, striking out three, and walking one. Ivan Nova went 3 1/3 innings, giving up eight runs on five hits while walking two and striking out one. 

Next up for Cleveland is the Detroit Tigers again tomorrow night from Comerica Park in Detroit, Michigan. Indians' ace Shane Bieber will take on the Tigers' Spencer Turnbull.
