Perry and Madison do well at CVC sim championships

(GATES MILLS, OH) - This weekend the Chagrin Valley Conference had their annual Boy & Girls Championships. Lake County was represented in with both the boys and the girls’ individuals and teams.
In the Girls Lake Division, the Madison Blue Streaks finished in third place with a cumulative score of 350, just 24 points behind first place Lakeside (374) and 19 behind second place Geneva (369). The Blue Streaks also had a champion in the 50-yard freestyle Caydence Deaton as she finished with a :26.80.
The top of the girls Valley Division belongs to Lake County as the Perry Pirates won the division with a 364 total and the Wickliffe Blue Devils came in second with a 308 score. The Kirtland Hornets finished in fifth place with 161. On the individual side Keegan Loschert won the 200-yard Individual Medley with a 2:29.90. Noelle Griffith of Perry won the 50-yard Freestyle with a nice time of :26.10. Griffith was not finished as she also won the 100-yard Freestyle with a time of :56.63 and the 400-yard Freestyle relay along with her teammates Marylynn Kacsala, Allyson Hopkins and Madison Scales with a time of 4:08.49.
Madison also did well in the Lake Division on the Boys’ side as they finished in second place with 323 behind first place Geneva (411). Individually the Blue Streaks’ Lincoln Blake won the 100-yard Freestyle with a time of :52.73.
In the Boys Valley Division, the Beachwood Bisons (565) ran away and hid with the title, Perry came in second with a total team score of 267. The Hornets finished with a 168 finishing fourth and the Blue Devils from Wickliffe notched a 143 to finish in fifth place. In the Valley individual Perry had some success and that came from Brody Hicks as he won the 50 & 100-yard Freestyle.
